For those that doubt the Day of Resurrection, Allah Ta'ala is reaffirming that there is no scope of uncertainty; this day is undisputable and will surely occur. The day when the truth will be laid out bare and everything will be exposed, there will be no place to flee or escape to. Regretting on that day will be of no avail; excuses will fail to safeguard or shelter a person from breaking free and escaping judgement.

This Surah (Al-Qiyamah) draws on the utter despondency and the regret people will have on the Day of Judgement, those who rejected the message and disobeyed Allah Ta'ala.
