Surah Al-Mulk encapsulates the purpose of our creation - that we were created to live a life of obedience to our Lord and Creator. This can only be made to manifest through our good deeds which we solely perform for the sake of Allah in order to seek His pleasure. The Holy Prophet ﷺ told his Ummah to recite this Surah every night and learn this Surah by heart. The importance of this Surah is Stressed due to the fact that the Holy Prophet ﷺ never slept until he had finished reciting this Surah.
