Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanwi states that there are a number of acts that may lead the creation towards a strong relationship with Allah. These actions include excessive remembrance of Allah, observance of Sunnah in all matters, keeping company with the pious who have a strong relationship with Allah, being thankful for the bounties of Allah, being steadfast in following the rulings of the Shari'ah and finally asking Allah (Du'a) abundantly.

The friends of Allah have been described in detail in the Holy Qur'an and Ahadeeth. This book endeavours its readers to help create a bond with Allah in attaining his friendship as he is the sole creator of all material and immaterial things. It is only through Allah's friendship, an individual will achieve happiness in this life and the hereafter, hence eliminate worries, sadness, depression, anxiety and misery in this world.
