The Call Of Nuh
For 950 years, Sayyiduna Nuh ٱلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْهِ preserved night and day in continuous succession in preaching the message, unwavering and relentless in his mansion. Not once did he feel that his calling was in vain. He stood firm and resolute in continuing with the mission that he was sent with, in proclaiming the message of the oneness of Allah وَتَعَالَى‎ سُبْحَانَهُ year after year, decade upon decade, century after century,  but this failed to convince the people of truth.
 
In a persons’ life, a point in time is reached that without parting company from evil; the imminent danger of being engulfed by the evil becomes very real and foreseeable. It is at this point that Sayyiduna Nuh ٱلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْهِ realised that there was no way out than to call for the impending doom of the disbelievers; if he was to save himself and his followers Allah وَتَعَالَى‎ سُبْحَانَهُ did not wrong them but they wronged themselves, thus they were deserving of the punishment which was meted out to them, and this is the general subject matter of this Surah; falsehood will perish and the truth will always prevail.
